Terrorists’ Open fire in Pakistan during District level match:

International cricket returned in Pakistan after 10 years. Entire Pakistan Super League season 5 hosted in Pakistan. ICC has also declared Pakistan a safe country for international cricket.

While Some teams like west indies, Bangladesh, Srilanka have started to tour Pakistan for the bilateral series. Now, PCB is in backfoot on Friday after the terrorists’ open attack at players and spectators at Kohat Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.

According to the Daily Star report, The final match had to start at the  Amn Cricket tournament at the Dradar Mamazai area in Ismailzai tehsil in the upper part of the Orakzai district.

Many political workers, media, and a large number of people came there to watch some live action amid this COVID-19 pandemic.

Unfortunately, people started to run to save their lives after the terrorists’ open fire from the nearby hills.

A witness about Terrorists’ open attack:

A witness spectator said, “No sooner had the match started the terrorists opened indiscriminate firing on the playground from the nearby hills. The players, spectators, and journalists saved their lives by fleeing the scene.”

According to the reports, there is no loss of any life and everyone got away from that place as soon as possible.

Orakzai District Police Officer Nisar Ahmad Khan confirmed that they have some news about terrorists. Now they have started a joint operation with Orakzai Scouts to find out activities behind it.

Recently, PCB official Wasim Khan asked the England cricket board for the shorter tour of the England team to Pakistan. In reply, England head coach has also ready to play bilateral series in Pakistan.

Now, This incident can change the scenario for the bilateral series between Pakistan and England. There is a high chance that ICC may take some strict actions on PCB once again.
