ABD’S RETURN IN INTERNATIONAL
AB deVilliers had announced his retirement from international cricket in the year 2018. After the poor performance of the South African team in the World Cup 2019, AB deVilliers said, “he wants to come back to the team and help the team in this situation. But South African board didn’t respond to his return in the team and ignored his proposal. Later South African captain Faf Du Plessis also confirms that he talked to Abd about his comeback during the world cup.
Now ABD has added fuel to his comeback possibility in the international cricket for the T20 world cup later this year. He reckoned that he would love to come out of the retirement for the T20 world cup. H e has been in touch with new support staff and captain Du Plessis.
WHAT ABD SAID IN CONFERENCE?
On a question of his returning plan, he said-” I would love to.I’ve been talking to ‘Bouch’ (new South Africa coach Mark Boucher), (new director of cricket) Graeme Smith and (captain) Faf du Plessis back home, we’re all keen to make it happen. There’s a lot that needs to happen before that becomes reality, “
Yet, it is still not a cakewalk for the 35-year-old ABD, as head coach Mark Boucher said in his press conference after appointed as head coach -“When you go to a world cup, you want your best players playing for you. If I feel he is one of our best ones, why wouldn’t I want to have a conversation with him?”

This time South Africa has enough time to make their decision. South Africa is set to play 6 T20s in February against England and Australia. And 5 against West Indies later in the year. Whether they draft Ab De Villiers in the World Cup directly or they give chances to de Villiers before that to ensure his form, let’s see what will South Africa take the action on him?
