CPL schedule announced 18 August to 10 September:
CEO of CPL, Damien O’Donohoe showed the green signal to CPL (Caribbean Premier League) and announced its schedule. It’s a piece of good news for the cricket fans who were waiting so bad to start the cricket. After a huge 3 months gap, there were matches played between England and West Indies.
Earlier President of IPL also announced the date for Indian Premier League and host country as well. Now 23 days T-20 tournament announced in which 33 matches will be played. The CPL tournament schedule is announced and it will start from 18 August and the final match will be played on 10 September.
Two stadiums will host whole CPL tournament:
33 matches of CPL will be played behind the doors because of the global pandemic, for the safety of the players. Mainly two stadiums are selected to host the whole CPL league.
‘Brian Lara Cricket Academy’ will host 23 matches including semi-final and final. Along with it, ‘Queen’s Park Oval’ will host the rest of the matches.
“Standard of CPL will be higher”, CEO of CPL:
Caribbean Premier League is becoming more and more popular each year. According to the CEO of CPL, This year the standard of CPL will be higher than ever.
“This year will be a different CPL, but the standard will be higher than ever. We have seen the appetite for live sport since it has returned after a prolonged absence, and the interest in CPL will be higher than ever with it being the first franchise T20 tournament to return,” Damien said.

On 18 August, the opening game will be played between last year runnerup Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors. Although TKR’s is ready and posted it on its twitter handle.
Many big faces will be seen playing in the CPL league including Rashid Khan, Keiron Pollard, Andre Russel, Chris Lynn, Marcus Stoinis, Colin Munro, Evin Lewis, Dwayne Bravo, etc.
