IPL 2020: The 13th season of IPL remains frustrating for team CSK and its fans. CSK had played 12 matches and were able to claim victory only in 4 matches. Even big players like MS Dhoni could not convert losing matches. Some players like Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh were out because of personal issues or Covid-19.
Almost in every IPL season, CSK constantly qualified for the playoffs and won the trophy three times. Remained favorite until 2019, but in 2020 everything changed for Chennai Super Kings.

“One bad year does not mean we’ve to change everything,” CEO Viswanathan:
CEO of Chennai Super Kings, Viswanathan strongly believes that MS Dhoni has great potential and he surely will lead CSK in the 2021 season as well.
This 2020 year remained very stressful for team CSK from starting. Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh remained unavailable for the whole season. Some players got positive for COVID-19, which affected the team.
“Yes, I am very confident that MS Dhoni will lead CSK in 2021. He has won three titles for us in the IPL. This is the first year we’ve not qualified for the playoffs. No other team has done that. One bad year does not mean we will have to change everything,” CEO Viswanathan told Times of India.
According to Viswanathan, there is no urgent need to make big changes in the team. It is just a bad year and in the future, we just have to forget about it and move on.
