WILL DHONI BE A PART OF BCCI’s TRAINING CAMP FOR IPL 2020?

International cricket has started in this COVID-19 pandemic. England vs West Indies 3 match test series is going on, in England. Now, BCCI has planned to start IPL 13 on September 19 and final on November 8 in the UAE.

Before starting any kind of matches, BCCI wants to organise a training camp for its players so that they can regain their fitness. That’s why BCCI is organizing a training camp for players in Ahmedabad for the IPL 2020. 

Many cricket fans have raised a question that Veteran Indian wicket-keeper batsman Dhoni would be part of the BCCI’s training camp or not. So the answer is NO.

BCCI’s central contracted players will participate in this training camp. Probably, this training camp will be organized in Motera Stadium of Ahmedabad. Since Dhoni was not the part of BCCI’s central contract in 2019-20. This makes dhoni ineligible for participation in the BCCI’s training camp.

Dhoni has not played any type of cricket for the last 12 months. He had played his last match against Newzealand in July 2019. It is expected that Dhoni will also not a part of the 2020-21 BCCI’s central contract.

IPL 2020 had to be started on March 29 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni had started his training along with his few Chennai super kings teammates Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, and Piyush Chawla in the early March of 2020.

Due to this Covid-19 Pandemic, CSK had to stop his training camp in the mid and all the players left towards their home.

How Other Indian players will come to UAE for the IPL 2020?
