Australia women’s cricket star Allrounder Ellyse Perry has ended the marriage with her husband Matt Toomua. Ellyse Perry and Matt Toomua have released a joint statement on Sunday that they have confirmed to end their marriage after four years.

This news has given a shock to Ellyse perry’s fans and Australian sports fraternity. Ellyse Perry and Matt Toomua had tied the knot in December 2015. Before their marriage, They were seen the first time as a couple in the award show in 2013.

Separation is a mutual decision: Ellyse Perry and Toomua 

Both gave a joint statement on Saturday, “It’s with the greatest of respect for one another that we decided to separate earlier this year.

“We felt this was the right course of action and is in the best interests of each other and our current lives. This is something that has evolved and is a mutual decision.

Throughout our relationship, we have remained private and we ask that our space and privacy continue to be respected during this difficult time for both of us.” This joint statement was published by the Sydney Morning Herald.

However, the rumours of Ellyse Perry and Toomua separation came since February this year. Media covered this news when Ellyse Perry spotted at the Australian cricket awards without her wedding ring.


But both had ended the rumors that they were not ending their marriage earlier this year. 

Ellyse Perry and Toomua are performing well in their respective games. Australian women’s cricket star Allrounder Ellyse Perry was seen last time in action in the Women’s T20 world cup in February-March. But She didn’t play the final due to hamstring injury.

On the other side, Toomua is a professional rugby player who plays for Melbourne Rebels. He was in-action on Friday and played a vital role in his team’s win over NSW Waratahs.
