It will be difficult to organize IPL this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Although, various types of updates are coming. But this virus is affecting the entire world and sports events as well. IPL 2020 has been suspended until 15 April due to coronavirus while it had to be started on 29 March. During this, news came that If it wouldn’t clear till 10 April that IPL 2020 will start or not until 15 April then it can be avoided this year.
Now, According to the reports, the good news is coming for cricket fans if If the virus is under control by the end of April. Then IPL 2020 can be started in the first week of May. According to the media reports, A BCCI official said that it is difficult to say anything about IPL. The Cricket Board is still thinking about league’s pattern and Board can go with the same pattern(two matches in a day). Though, A official said, ‘If we talk about recent condition then we will wait by the end of April. If the first match of IPL is not played until the first week of May then It is impossible to organize IPL this year.’ During the interaction, A BCCI remembered the pattern of IPL which had organized in South Africa. He said, that IPL was the shortened format of IPL in the IPL history according to the number of days. 59 matches were played in 37 days in 2009. If everything goes good then IPL 2020 can be played with the same pattern.
