Mitchell Starc responds on T20 World cup 2020:
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc had not given his name in the IPL 2020 auction. Because he wanted to prepare for the T20 World cup which had to play in October in Australia. However, the T20 world cup 2020 has been postponed by ICC because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, the IPL 2020 is set to take place the window of the T20 World cup. IPL 2020 has to start in UAE from September 19.
In a recent talk with cricket.com.au, Mitchell Starc said he doesn’t any regret on his decision not to participate in IPL 2020 and I won’t change it. Mitchell Starc is one the best bowler in the world and If he had sent his name in the IPL auction no doubt he definitely would get the big amount from the franchises.
However, It doesn’t work as he wanted and the T20 World cup 2020 has been postponed. Now he wants to prepare for the summer while his teammates will play in IPL in UAE.
Mitchell Starc about not to participate in IPL for T20 World cup:
Mitchell Starc said, “I know hindsight is a wonderful thing and now the IPL is on at a different time but no, I wouldn’t change it.”
“I’m happy to spend that time when the blokes are at the IPL in September. I’ll be getting ready for summer. The IPL will be around next year and if I feel the urge or people want me around I’ll definitely consider it, but as of this year I’m very comfortable with the decisions I’ve made.”
Mitchell Starc has played 27 matches in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was part of RCB in 2014 and 2015. In 2018, Kolkata Knight riders had picked him in 9.6 crores but he didn’t join the team because of injury.
