Wankhede fantasy scoring has a shape, and once you see it you cannot unsee it: top-order batters from the chasing side outscore their first-innings counterparts by roughly forty per cent once dew arrives. Build around that fact and the rest of this game picks itself.

Pitch and toss

Expect 180-plus. The red-soil square offers true bounce, the boundaries square of the wicket are short, and the evening dew makes defending a total miserable. Twelve of the last fifteen night games here have gone to the chasing side. If your fantasy platform allows post-toss edits, use them: the side bowling first supplies your bowling core, the side batting second supplies your batting core.

Captaincy tiers

Tier two - for the brave - is Mumbai's powerplay enforcer. Three or more wickets in four of his last six at this ground, and wickets in the first six overs carry the fattest multiplier on most platforms.

Value picks

Two names at low ownership deserve attention. Chennai's mystery spinner is priced for his batting position, not his role - he bowls the eleventh through fifteenth overs, where Mumbai have lost the most wickets of any side this season. And Mumbai's No. 7, at near-minimum price, has faced at least ten balls in every innings this month with a strike rate over 170.

The trap to avoid

Do not stack first-innings death bowlers. Dew turns yorkers into slot balls, and the numbers are brutal: death-overs economy at Wankhede rises by nearly three full runs per over in the second innings. Spend those credits on a third top-order batter instead.
