Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who has played for team India, in fact at one time he was one of the regular players of the team India when MS Dhoni was the captain.

Ashwin revealed a moment of 2013 champion trophy, when England’s batsman Trott was on strike and R. Ashwin was bowling. Dhoni advised him how he can bowl so that Trott got out.

“Bowl round the stumps and he will try to play in leg side only”, MS Dhoni to R. Aswin:



It was Ashwin’s first over and during the over MS Dhoni went to Ashwin and said, ‘don’t bowl over the stumps and he is looking to play in leg side if ball turns then he will be stumped. After that advice, Trott was stumped.’

Dhoni is a good analyzer Wicketkeeper, who stands behind the stumps and continuously observes batsmen.

This was not the only case when Dhoni has given successful advice to the bowlers. This happened many times in his career.
