Rohit Sharma is having a great time as a performer for India. And He is at the peak in his career and an outstanding performer for Indian cricket in the year 2019. But Indian vice-captain of the ODI team is unhappy about something. He is on break from cricket and spending quality time with his family. He strongly condemns people who write about the family members of the cricketers.
On Monday, Rohit was talking about the controversy that happened after the ICC World Cup. As there were rumors that senior players extended their families’ stay beyond the designated number of days. Rohit felt hurt at families being dragged into it.
He said-” families were there to support us, make us feel happy. When media were writing about all these things, I was just laughing all those things, when few of my friends came and told me about that.”
“But then it went on and on then they dragged my family and that was not ok. You can talk about me but don’t drag my family and I genuinely don’t care about anything else. I think even Virat also feels in that way as families are important aspects of our lives.” Rohit said.
Rohit Sharma has a huge success story last year. He was the highest run-getter as an opener in both ODI and T20 format. Rohit Sharma also breaks Sanath Jayasurya’s record of highest runs as an opener in a calendar year. He scored 5 centuries in ICC World Cup, which is the most by any batsman in a single tournament.
Rohit also made debut as an opener in tests also and does well against South Africa and Bangladesh in the home series. And look forward to carrying that on an away tour too.
