Shahid Afridi disappointed with Kapil Dev statement:

Recently, Pakistani former cricketer and fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar proposed India vs Pakistan 3 match ODI series to collect some amount of money which can be used to fight with this global pandemic.

After Shoaib Akhtar’s proposal, many Indian cricketers gave their reply to it and one of them was Indian former cricketer and captain Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev openly denied Shoaib Akhtar’s proposal of fundraising India vs Pakistan 3 match ODI series.

Kapil Dev not only denied Akhtar’s proposal but also told him, “India can not put own players life in danger just for a bunch of money.” He also said, ‘BCCI(Board of control of India) has already donated 51Crore for this pandemic and it can donate more in future.

“Kapil’s statement surprised me”, Shahid Afridi:

According to Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar cares about humanity. We have to stand together to fight against this global pandemic. What Shoaib Akhtar proposed is not a bad idea. 



He said what Kapil Dev gave reaction to Shoaib Akhtar’s proposal, completely shocked me. Shahid Afridi also said, ” I have seen many videos in which peoples from India are seen eating food from garbage”.

Afridi also mentioned Yuvraj’s criticism for funding:

A couple of days ago, lots of peoples started criticized Indian cricketers, Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh. Because they raised funds and donated some money for the Shahid Afridi Foundation.

According to Shahid Afridi, When he was in Canada, he donated 10,000$ dollars for the Yuvraj Singh Foundation. And not a single person in Pakistan was against it. Pakistani peoples praised it.
