She smashed this memorable century in Women’s Super Smash. But, the innings was made memorable by a gesture which she showed at the end of her innings.
This incident happened When She was batting on 94 and just far away 6 runs from the blastrous record. she smashed a low full toss for six towards the mid-wicket boundary. The ball went over the ropes and landed on the grass embankment. However, it landed on a small child, who was watching the match with her family.
Sophie Divine rushes towards the Girl:
After completing her century, She noticed that the ball had actually hurt the small girl. She didn’t celebrate her century and kept watching the girl. After two balls later when the match was finished, She took off his helmet and started walking towards the small girl.
Sophie Divine crossed the boundary line and engaged in a conversation with a small girl. It is not clear what conversation happened between Sophie and small girl but this gesture of Sophie was also praised by commentators on air.
