India lost the 3rd T20 match against Australia by 12 runs but sealed the T20 series by 2-1. There were many incidents that happened in the match in which Team India was denied a review by the third umpire is one of them. Matthew Wade was batting and he was in great touch but one mistake by Kohli or umpire changed the whole game scenario.
The incident happened on the 4th ball of the 11th over of Australia’s batting. Matthew Wade was the batsman but he missed his flick and the ball hit the plumb on his pads. While the timer didn’t show up on the big screen and Kohli took his time to go for DRS.
While Virat Kohli was asking for the review from the umpires, the Third Umpire denied his appeal for review because Kohli came too late in signaling for DRS. And a replay was playing on the big screen in which It was clearly shown that Matthew Wade was clearly out.
This incident made angry Virat Kohli and he stormed to the on-field umpires. Then umpires explained to him It was 3rd umpire’s call to deny Team India’s DRS appeal. The third umpire’s contentious decision raised eyebrows as fans and experts shared their two cents on the incident.
Wade was incredulous when the review was called for.
“You’ve referred it?” Wade said.
“It was on the big screen. They’ve referred it off the big screen.”

The referral against Wade raises an interesting question. If the big screen shows the replay within the time allotted for the referral, can you disallow the referral? In this case we need to see the timer but the question is valid
