CSK vs RR: No balls in last over snatched the game from CSK
Great Death bowler Jofra Archer 4 consecutive sixes in the last over against Lungi Ngidi changed the game totally. Ngidi even didn’t try any yorker in an over. He bowled two no balls consecutively on which Jofra Archer smashed 2 sixes in a row. And Lungi Ngidi ended his over with 30 runs.
Ms Dhoni feels that no balls in the last over were the reason for losing the match against Rajasthan Royals. If CSK could restrict the Rajasthan under 200 then They could easily chase the target.
In the post-interview with Star Sports, Dhoni said, “217 on the board, you have had a very good start. That was not the case. They batted really well. Steve and Sanju. You have to give credit to their bowlers too. There was a lot of dew. They knew what lengths to bowl.
Their spinners didn’t try too many things. That was an error our spinners made in their first couple of overs. Without singling out anyone, a controllable we could have controlled is no-balls. Had we not bowled no-balls, we would have been chasing 200, and it would have been a very good game.”
However, Faf Du Plessis fought at the last and brought the side to the mamoth total. But CSK fans losing all hopes after losing Faf Du plessis’s wicket. Dhoni neither showed his class nor came to bat upper in the batting order.
Reason Behind not to bat in upper batting Order: Ms Dhoni
On being asked about his own batting promotion, Dhoni said, “I haven’t batted for a long time. 14-day quarantine doesn’t help (why he isn’t batting higher). Also wanted to try different things, give opportunities to Sam.”
“Have the opportunity to try different things. If it doesn’t work, you can always go back to your strengths. Faf adapted very well. Something the batsmen will do, neglect square leg and go more towards long-on and long-off.” CSK captain Dhoni added.
